Practical Camellia Advice

Camellias prefer a sheltered site away from the early morning sun and frost for optimal growth. Acidic soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter provides the right environment for these plants. If soil conditions are not ideal, consider container planting with ericaceous compost to ensure your Camellias flourish. To further ensure the health and beauty of your Camellias, we recommend regular watering during dry spells, especially for plants in containers, to maintain the moisture levels they adore. Pruning immediately after blooming allows the plant to focus on setting buds for the next season, enhancing the floral display.
